Brough Haven - A car park is situated at the western end of the factory where access can be gained to the river bank to the east, the bank to the west is accessed through the boat yard.
Welton Waters - Parking is available along Common Lane, Welton at the railway crossing or over the crossing itself near the main lake.
Brough Marsh - Can be viewed from the river bank which is accessible from either Welton

Species and Seasons
Resident - Little Grebe, Mute Swan, Greylag Goose, Shelduck, Mallard, Tufted Duck, Sparrowhawk, Kestrel, Moorhen, Coot, Lapwing, Redshank, Black-headed Gull, Wood Pigeon, Kingfisher, Sky Lark, Pied Wagtail, Long-tailed Tit, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Magpie, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Goldfinch, Linnet, Reed Bunting.
Spring and Autumn - Grey Heron, Garganey, Avocet, Black-tailed Godwit, Common Tern, Arctic Tern, Black Tern, Sand Martin, Wheatear
Summer - Great Crested Grebe, Shoveler, Avocet, Turtle Dove, Cuckoo, Swallow, House Martin, Meadow Pipit, Yellow Wagtail, Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler, Lesser Whitethroat, Whitethroat, Blackcap, Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler.
Winter - Wigeon, Gadwall, Teal, Pintail, Pochard, Goldeneye, Ruddy Duck, Merlin, Oystercatcher, Golden Plover, Lapwing, Dunlin, Redshank, Turnstone, Bar-tailed Godwit, Common Gull, Short-eared Owl, Fieldfare, Redwing, Bearded Tit, Stonechat.
Welton Waters - This area comprises three lakes surrounded by scrub and reeds. The westerly pond is used by anglers and is good for wildfowl. The Larger now bird-rich central lake is used by Welton Sailing/Water Ski Club and therefore subject to disturbance.
The most easterly lake is well overgrown with reeds but holds waterbirds.
Brough Haven - Large area of exposed mud at low tide with reed beds and salt marsh along the edge of the flood bank.
Brough Airfield Marsh - The Marsh in the centre of the airfield has |become a perminant body of water over recent years. Established vegetation has recently been cut back. Subject to monthly bird scaring when completed aircraft are flown from the adjacent factory.
